Meet Your Wellness Team

Heidi Drake, Studio Owner & Aerial Flight Attendant

Heidi Drake is a lifelong dancer who realized she didn't ever want to fully retire and needed to find something she would love to do for a really long time. Several conversations with community members searching for an affordable, fun, flexible yoga & fitness option in South County and a very important one with her then-14-year-old daughter about dogs led to the birth of Downward Dog Yoga & Wellness Studio.

Heidi obtained her worldwide RYT-250 certification to teach aerial yoga from Aerial Yoga Academy. She taught kids' jazz, tap, & hip hop at Sunriver Dance Academy for 9 years, has an extensive background in writing and marketing, and has been the office manager for her husband Eric's painting business for 15+ years. As she approached 50, she noticed that she was losing flexibility and strength and realized that she probably wasn't alone. When she's not at the studio, she's probably driving one of her daughters somewhere, working on house projects with her husband, or cleaning up after one of their family's 3 dogs.

Amber Geldermann, Yoga Sculpt Instructor & Fitness Enthusiast

Amber Geldermann returned home to Oregon from California over this last summer; however, she is new to central Oregon.
She says, "I am a proud mom of 5 wonderfully active children, and wife to an active husband. Fitness is a top priority in our home! From running and hiking to snowboarding and sledding, we find many ways to stay active in the great outdoors. Personally, I have always been in the gym/studio working on endurance and strength training. It helps reduce stress, clears the mind, boosts the immune system, and strengthens the body."
Amber recently completed training to teach our Yoga Sculpt classes, and we look forward to seeing her around the studio more in the future.
